Many books within the Bible talk about man laying with man. Romans 1:27 says “In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” In a simplified form, the verse is saying that if man began to start natural relations as in sexual relations with another man rather than with a woman, that man would be committing a sin and will be punished and in a more gory sense, Leviticus 20:13 says, 'If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.’ Man laying down with man or woman laying with woman is considered a sin but according to the Christian religion itself or any religion that believes in a God, God will always accept someone for who they are and remove sin from whoever asks. 1 John 1:9 says, “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” So if God has the ability to forgive and remove sin from a person, spiritually, religious views should even be considered as a component in determining the equality for the gay community because God will wash away the “sin” that He has created Himself.
